Kaun Banegi Shikharwati Web Series Storyline

The protagonist, Raja Mrityunjay Singh Shikharwat, is poor and owes a sizable sum in unpaid land taxes to the Indian government. He pretends to be ill in order to escape this situation and calls his four estranged daughters, Devyani, Gayatri, Kamini, and Uma. He intends to have a nine-round competition between them, with tasks for the princesses to perform in each round. The winner of this competition will be proclaimed Queen. Devyani, Gayatri, Kamini, and Uma, the four estranged daughters of the King, are to be brought back together once the government takes notice. Upon their return home, the sisters are informed about the Navrasa Royal Games. The sisters have in the past publicly humiliated one another before leaving the castle. The sisters compete in a cookery challenge as the Navrasa Royal Games get underway, but it leads to a tense argument. The next game is supposed to be a stage play performance, but Devyani turns it into a roast of the king during which they crack unflattering jokes about him. As his daughters reconcile, King believes he still has time to salvage his family. Uma had an allergy attack during the last game, which causes the sisters to band together. When Roop Singh and his gang come to storm the palace, the monarch gets the last laugh as he makes his announcement.

Without a doubt, Raghubir Yadav should be on the lookout for. He deserves praise for playing the devoted guy Friday. His eccentricities and the way he performs without overtly expressing himself are amazing. Another outstanding component of the program is its production design. When shown with the plot, the huge locations look amazing. Ananya Banerjee’s narrative is original and has a lot of promise.

The remainder of the cast is completely ineffective. I’m curious as to what prompted the signing of Naseeruddin Shah, Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan, Kritika Kamra, and Anya Singh to this shoddy script. They were all given a lot of screen time, but there wasn’t enough content for them to show off their skills.

In terms of the directing, Gauravv Chawla and Ananya Banerjee wasted a strong plot. It’s essentially a fairytale-like narrative about a king who misses his daughters and pretends to have health problems in order to bring them all back to the realm. The strategy seemed to be a murderous one at a time when the epidemic has caused individuals to start spending more time with their family. The writing, however, is utterly awful. 

The show’s main flaw is that, although being advertised as a comedy-drama about a dysfunctional family, the humor is completely absent. It’s not that the program wasn’t supposed to be humorous; it’s just that the scenarios, gags, and punchlines that should have been amusing aren’t shown.
