De De Pyaar De Movie Storyline

Ashish Mehra, an NRI businessman based in London, is 50 years old. He meets Ayesha Khurana, a 26-year-old woman, and they begin dating and living together. Ashish tells her that he and his wife Manjana “Manju” Rao, who resides in India with their children, are divorced. After some back and forth about their age difference, Ashish decides to introduce Ayesha to his family and invites her to his Manali home. Manju and her children have moved in with Ashish’s parents. His coming irritates his daughter Ishita, who believes he would disrupt the meeting between her boyfriend Rishi and her soon-to-be father-in-law Atul Saxen.

Ashish, startled, fabricates a storey about how Ayesha is his secretary, much to Ayesha’s chagrin. Ayesha and Manju are torn between their affections for Ashish and their feelings for one other. Due to a series of events, Ashish is presented to Ishita’s prospective in-laws as Manju’s brother. Ayesha and Manju have a strained relationship. Ishita screams at Ashish for lying to his whole family after finally spotting Ayesha and Ashish together.

In the later part, DDPD stays light and frothy for the most part, with difficult circumstances and confrontations. When filmmaker Akiv Ali attempts to establish a balance between contemporary thought and age-old moralistic principles, the storey stutters. While some important disputes are resolved quickly, there are certain people, such as Jimmy Shergill, who just add to the chaos. In the process, an obvious potential to create some unforgettable laugh-out-loud moments with the excellent actor is missed. The remainder of the characters is reduced to stereotypes that are impossible to take seriously. Although the songs are subpar, the background soundtrack is dependably excellent, lifting many of the moments.

Without being overpowering, the film maturely covers a few sensitive issues such as divorce, try living, and age-inappropriate relationships. Luckily, filmmaker Akiv Ali brings it to a close with a little unexpected finale that is devoid of hyperbole. Overall, DDPD is a wonderful trip that proves that age is only a number when it comes to love.
