Drishyam 2 is a 2021 Indian Malayalam language drama thriller film directed by Jeethu Joseph. It is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banners of Aashirvad Cinemas. The film star Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Murali Gopy, Asha Sharath, Siddique, and, Sai Kumar are in title roles. The music was composed by Anil Johnson.

The creators originally intended for the film to be shown in theatres, but they eventually decided to distribute it via the streaming site Amazon Prime Video. Drishyam 2 Movie Storyline

After six years, Georgekutty, Rani, Anju, and Anu are living a happier life. Georgekutty is now a successful businessman and the owner of a movie house who, over his family’s objections, wants to create his own film. To produce the script for his narrative, he is in frequent touch with Vinayachandran, a well-known screenwriter. Anju, on the other hand, suffers from epilepsy and PTSD, both of which are a direct result of her anxiety of being caught for her role in the murder of Varun. A number of locals, jealous of the family’s affluence, have started circulating rumours about Anju having affairs with Varun, much to Rani’s chagrin. Saritha, a public servant who is often mistreated by her alcoholic husband, Sabu is Rani’s main source of relief.

The Kerala Police have been embarrassed by their failure to figure out what happened to Varun. Meanwhile, Georgekutty meets Varun’s father, Mr. Prabhakar, who begs Georgekutty to reveal the whereabouts of his son’s remains in vain. Meanwhile, over Rani’s concerns, Anu returns home for vacation and throws a house party for her classmates.

We already informed of his talent and is awaiting him to carry off something spectacular. Although this, the audience is kept wondering and intrigued by Mohanlal’s depiction of the analytical Georgekutty, who is both unexcited and concerned. The celebrity was fantastic as Georgekutty the first time through, and in the sequel, he starts off just where he left off.

The film also depicts the social milieu in which the protagonists live, including family violence and harsh social stigma of both guilty and accused criminals. While delving into the family situation, Jeethu uncovers another aspect by pointing out how a breakdown in communication among spouses, particularly when the husband refuses to fully open himself, often results in the husband injuring the very ones he has sworn to protect.
