• He began performing stand-up comedy in musical shows (orchestra) and Tabasum Hit Parade and after gaining fame, joined the group of musical genre duo Kalyanji and Ananji.
• Lever was one of India’s first stand-up comedians and is widely regarded as a pioneer of the stand-up comedy profession in India.
• He recorded a comedy tape titled “Hasi Ke Hangame” and gained notoriety in home audio mode. During this period, he also shot an incense commercial for Kachua Chap directed by Shekhar Kapoor.
• Lever’s first break came in Tum Par Hum Qurban, in which famous TV and stage host and former actress Baby Tavasum introduced her son, Hoshan Govil, as the lead actor, followed by the movie, “Dar Ka Rishta”
