Luka Chuppi Movie Storyline
Vishnu Trivedi, a failed politician in the tiny town of Mathura, is campaigning to outlaw live-in relationships, which he sees as a slap in the face to India’s traditional culture. Simultaneously, his party launches an all-out attack on Bollywood star Nazeem Khan, who is allegedly in a live-in relationship with his fiancée, which is the source of his animosity of live-in partnerships.
Rashmi, Vishnu’s daughter, begins an internship at a local news station, where she meets and works with the station’s top reporter Vinod “Guddu” Kumar Shukla and his closest buddy, cameraman Abbas Sheikh. Guddu and Rashmi develop feelings for one other, and Guddu proposes to her. She recommends a live-in relationship since she isn’t ready for marriage, but he objects because he is more conventional and afraid of Vishnu. Abbas advises that they attempt a live-in relationship on their 20-day business trip to Gwalior as a tradeoff. The pair is in agreement.

On January 23, 2019, the film’s first poster was unveiled. On March 1, 2019, it was released in theatres all around the globe. Luka Chuppi became Bollywood’s fourth biggest opening-day grosser of 2019 with a total of Rs. 8.01 crore. The film’s opening weekend total increased to 32.13 crore after collections of 10.08 crore and 14.04 crore on its second and third days, respectively, making it one of the greatest opening weekend collections of a Bollywood film of 2019.

Luka Chuppi Movie Review
Guddu-and-efforts Rashmi’s at insurrection, in which they strive their hardest to become lawful, are to be applauded. But you wish the producers had been more daring, since here was an opportunity for a mainstream film to stand up to those heinous self-styled’sansthas’ who prey on young couples in tiny towns.
But it’s Rohan Ghoge’s subtle writing and execution that truly makes ‘Luka Chuppi’ a fun watch. The first half is fast-paced and plenty of laughs, culminating in an unexpected surprise. There are some laugh-out-loud moments in the second half as well. The hilarity gets repetitious after a while, but the film’s brief runtime saves it. During the credits sequence, the film’s second most prominent songs are tossed in. Overall, ‘Luka Chuppi’ is a delightful journey for the whole family that never becomes preaching or awkward. It’s a clean entertainment with a message that’s not overbearing, but very apparent.
