Oh My Ghost Review

“Oh My Ghost” is an absolute gem that exceeds expectations in every way. Park Bo-young delivers a masterclass performance, seamlessly switching between the meek Bong-sun and vivacious Soon-ae with distinct voices, mannerisms, and personalities, you’ll genuinely forget it’s the same actress. Jo Jung-suk brings charm and depth to Chef Kang, while Kim Seul-gi’s portrayal of Soon-ae’s ghost form is both hilarious and heartbreaking. The drama brilliantly balances laugh-out-loud comedy with genuine suspense and emotional moments that’ll leave you crying. Yes, the tonal shifts from romcom to thriller can feel jarring, and the ending feels slightly rushed, but the journey is absolutely worth it. The kitchen crew provides comic relief perfectly, the mystery payoff satisfies, and the romance feels earned rather than forced. It’s funny and surprisingly dark, a complete package that deserves far more recognition. Highly rewatchable comfort viewing.
