“Riverdale” is a fascinatingly uneven series that starts strong before spiraling into gloriously bonkers territory. The first two seasons deliver genuinely compelling mystery drama with stylish cinematography reminiscent of Twin Peaks and strong performances from the young cast, particularly Madelaine Petsch who commands every scene as the deliciously dramatic Cheryl Blossom.
