Everybody’s Talking About Jamie Movie Storyline
Jamie New, a homosexual child, lives with his single mother Margaret in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England, and on his sixteenth birthday joins Mayfield school. His instructor chastises the students for their unrealistic career ambitions at school. Jamie appears to agree with her, but his true ambition is to perform as a drag queen on stage.
Margaret visits her friend Ray in order to assist her in preparing for Jamie’s birthday party. Wayne, Jamie’s estranged father, who has been living with his girlfriend Cheryl for some time, is supposed to show up for the celebration, but he cancels at the last minute. Margaret lies about Jamie’s absence by stating he handed him a card when he comes. Margaret gives Jamie an expensive pair of red high heels that he had been saving for. Jamie is saddened by his father’s absence and reflects on their troubled relationship as well as an undisclosed cruel minor statement made to him as a youngster that he has yet to overcome.

Due to the pandemic, the film was initially intended to be released on October 23, 2020, however Disney, the parent company of 20th Century Fox, postponed it until January 22, 2021. It has been rescheduled for February 26, 2021. However, it was later taken from the release schedule. The film’s domestic theatre release was cancelled in May 2021, and the distribution rights were transferred to Amazon Studios. It was subsequently scheduled for release on Amazon Prime Video on September 17, 2021.
