Storyline

Tara from Satara tells the narrative of Tara Mane and her older sister Radhika Mane, two sisters from Satara. The two sisters love to dance and are equally passionate about it, with the exception that Radhika prefers traditional Kathak while Tara prefers Bollywood dances.

Radhika studies Kathak from her father, Sachin Mane, a classically trained dancer who now hates Bollywood dancing but used to be a part of the industry. He travelled to Mumbai to pursue his goal but was unable to accomplish so. This sorrow instilled in him a disdain for Bollywood, and he was vehemently opposed to anybody who danced to Bollywood songs or listened to Bollywood music in his house or neighborhood.
