Vaani “Thapki” Tripathi has a beautiful voice, but she stammers when she gets anxious, which is a big impediment on her way to success. Her inspiration Veena Devi, a Padma Shri recipient, has a wealthy and appealing son named Purab. When Thapki’s father Mukul abandoned the family years ago, Thapki’s mother Jaya became deaf.
