Mohomaya Season 2 Review
The second and, presumably, last season of Mohomaya is come to torment us once again, as if the previous season hadn’t already caused us enough suffering. This season neither significantly advances the plot nor bothers to reveal anything that we didn’t already know from the first half. The narrative goes on to exalt its unsettling, troubling protagonist in great detail, attempting to defend his acts by alluding to his peculiar upbringing. The episodes are too drawn out, illogical, and repeatedly make the same argument. Because of how repetitive the story is, the whole season might have been condensed into a single episode.
The first season offered more than enough to examine the infamous side of a psycho like Rishi, but the director here stretches the character’s flashback segments without cause. The constant exchanges between him and his deceased mother defy explanation, no matter how hard you try.
