Roohi Movie Storyline
Bhawra Pandey and Kattanni Qureshi are from Bagadpur, a hamlet where it is usual for a man who intends to marry a girl to kidnap her against her will. Guniya Bhai, their employer and the head of a kidnapping group, orders them to kidnap Roohi as part of a deal with a man who wants to marry her. However, a death in the groom’s family leads them to hide her in an abandoned woodwork shop until the funeral, allowing the wedding to take place after the burial. During their stay, Bhawra discovers that Roohi is possessed by an evil entity, which her father confirms. Roohi was meant to marry a year ago, but the man and his family left when they discovered she was taken.
Bhawra is smitten with Roohi and attempts to coax the spirit from her body; Kattanni, on the other hand, is smitten by the evil spirit known as Afza and seeks to bring her forward instead of Roohi so that he may speak with her.

The film was originally scheduled to be released on March 20, 2020, however the producers subsequently announced a new release date of April 17th. On the 17th of February, it was moved back to the 5th of June. On April 8, the film was launched on JioCinema, and the following day, it was distributed on Netflix. On its first day in theatres, Roohi grossed $3.06 crore in India. The collection fell to 2.25 crore on the second day. The third day brought in 3.42 crore, while the fourth day brought in 3.85 crore. The film grossed a total of $12.58 crore in its first weekend.

Roohi Movie Review
Rajkummar, Varun, and Janhvi are all in top form, and their acts compliment one other. Rajkummar excels in yet another role in which he portrays a small-town man with coloured hair and a funny grin. Despite the fact that his persona is identical to his part in Stree, he makes this one stand out by using distinct gestures and body language. However, one has to ask whether this is a part he plays much too often. Varun dazzles with his impeccable comedy timing and mannerisms.
What the picture needs is a more complex plot. There is a brief reference of what the lead cast do in the context of a back storey, but very little of it remains with you. With a running time of over two hours, the picture could use a tighter cut. Apart from the amusement, the film preaches the measure of self love and belief, which succeeds to some extent, but the finale seems a little too convenient, unplanned, and misses the impact that one is fed from the beginning. Ultimately, the picture stays loyal to its genre while providing enough of fun.
