Storyline

The narrative follows the Shirke Patil family of Kolhapur, which includes patriarch Yashwant Shirke-Patil, his wife Nandini, sons Malhar and Uday, and their spouses Shalini and Devki. Malhar and Uday, money-minded by nature and persuaded by their spouses, are continually attempting to defraud their parents in order to meet their own selfish interests. Gauri, a maid, is also a member of the household, having been taken in by the family after her father gave his life to save Dadasaheb’s. Despite the fact that Mai and Dadasaheb love her like a daughter, she is continuously chastised and mistreated by the rest of the family, with the exception of Malhar, who sympathises with her.
